Assisting lawyers for justice on death row

We are proud to be supporting the work of Amicus. Amicus was set up in 1992 in memory of Andrew Lee Jones, who was executed in Louisiana, United States of America, in July 1991. Amicus is a charity which aims to help provide legal representation for those awaiting capital trial and punishment in the US and raise awareness of potential abuses of their rights.

Amicus relies on the generosity of volunteers and donors to continue to support those facing the death penalty in the United States. The Institute encourages paralegals and law students to contact Amicus if interested in doing volunteer legal work that may literally save lives.

Amicus needs help to:

The Amicus website will give you information about the work they undertake, about the death penalty in the USA and about how you can become involved.
Anybody interested in theirr work can join the Amicus group on facebook (click here) and can also keep up to date with what's happening via their weblog at www.amicus-alj.blogspot.com
