Transatlantic Standards

It is commonplace for UK law firms to operate in the United States of America, and vice-versa. It is also increasingly common for US and UK law firms to merge

In recognition of this, we are partnering with the New York City Paralegal Association (NYCPA) to create transatlantic competency standards for paralegal fee-earners.

The aim is to allow law firms to more easily standardise what they expect of their paralegal staff throughout their international network of offices.

We have also arranged a member-benefit in that the IOP and the NYCPA operate a free reciprocal membership scheme for the other's members.
