Charity partner

One of our goals is to act for the public good.

As part of that goal we have chosen to sponsor the well-known charity, The Children's Society.

About The Children's Society
HRH The Duchess of Gloucester is the Royal President of The Children's Society.
The Children's Society works with and for children. They believe that no child is beyond hope, understanding or love. They aim to create a safer world where children are loved unconditionally and have the freedom to be children and learn from their mistakes.

The Children's Society focuses on those most in need - children and young people pushed to the edges of society, whose needs are not met by government services or other agencies. They work with:

The Children's Society works with these children to provide the services and support they need; to campaign to change systems that have failed them and to offer them hope for a better life. The Children's Society web-site is at www.childrenssociety.org.uk

The Institute's Role

The Children's Society will receive a charitable donation each year from us. In addition, they will be the beneficiary of choice for events or fundraising we undertake. The very first cheque ever written by us was in support of The Children's Society's first ever Annual Ball.

What You Can Do

Very simple - make a donation. We encourage all our members to consider making donations to The Children's Society.
